After over two months, I've finally got my PC back up and running - RMAs with Corsair, AMD, and Gigabyte resulted in warrantied hardware, including what is now $ 2,500 worth of memory.

The problem is, I can't seem to get both the 6000 MT/s and 5200 MT/s 32GBx2 kits to train successfully together on the Gigabyte B650. It worked on the old board before the brownouts, so I don't understand what I'm missing now. Before I flashed the BIOS, the 6000 MT/s memory wouldn't train - now it does. But putting the 5200 MT/s memory in, it fails to train.

It is nice to finally have a responsive PC again and have all three of my monitors back after limping along with the Apple M2. I'll be glad to relegate that machine back to just being the Plex server and my 3D printer manager again in the next few days, after I get all the data I've created off it.

Problem is, I have 64GB of memory that just won't play nice.

"However last-minute changes in the U.S. proposed terms were unfair, uneconomic, and called into question the reliability of any deal."

translates into

"y'all tried to fuck us at the 11th hour, so get fucked, we’re going home. Fucking assholes.”

My cart will remain free of American products.

If you watch anything today, watch this.

Indigenous leaders speak their mind from the gallery after the UCP (now known as the Separatist Conservative Party) shot down an emergency debate on Canadian unity.

So now the Oilers have Connor McDavid, Connor Ingram, Connor Ungar, and Connor Murphy.

If we can get one more Connor, that would give us five Connors, which means we can then redeem for a free Connor!

So - I started work on moving our big database off of the cloud at around 11PM MST. It took some time to pull down that 450GB database, and it took a little longer than expected to restore that backup into our new database. As a result, our maintenance window was extended by three hours.

Once restored, we worked through some performance issues. This was expected as while we can test lots of things in a vacuum, sometimes without the real world load it's tough to know what to expect.

Once those performance tweaks were made, I saw some immediate improvement and we're now back and even better than before.

We're still working through the backlog of activity from the fediverse that we missed while we were down. It will probably take a few hours to catch up, so you'll see statuses from an hour or so ago popping up late. We're moving in the positive direction on this!

I've been looking forward to writing this for a long time: WE ARE FINALLY COMPLETELY OFF THE CLOUD. 🥳
