Welcome! Few things you should know: 1. get a check mark in Nostr, there are few options, I suggest nostrcheck.me , once you get it, edit your profile and update your Nostr-Address, not having it will hide you in some clients 2. follow hashtags, a good way to find like minded people 3. think of ...

Welcome! Here's a good starting place to get caught up 👇 nostr:nevent1qqsdhmu9sazj5u5p87s5j0pc20u7rthqxqhjclhsmxsk8f9645mfvwcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsygqqrzm7uvlmy5uyxcuuvt3f9lk8qznf4yas3m3hf3da49cunvu4vspsgqqqqqqsakf2h8

Nostr as a protocol had to sacrifice the ability to implement many of those basic-expected features in order to provide a basis for the unique features that it does implement.

I don't see normal everyday folks complaining about 30day bans. Only non NPC characters care.

it’s disappointing so many bitcoiners use x more than nostr

This app does not work. I hear you guys promoting it on podcasts but when people come here and try it and find you can’t even add followers it’s not a good look. If the devs want it to compete with x make sure its basic functions work…. Implement the same features and algos that twitter is using and ppl will come over here if it truely is censorship resistant.

How / why do you compete with something else while also having the same features? UI? 🤣

and when you routinely don't see content that was posted but can open up damus or nostur and see the content not displayed on primal it makes the whole experience frustrating

Never trust anyone who uses "ppl" ( sic ) because it means he types with two thumbs and hasn't really learned about technology other than it's something you pay for.

Nostr is not an app, it’s a protocol. Primal is the client (app) I use to interact with nostr and it works just fine. If you want it to be the same as X, you might as well stay there. I like it here better.
DELETED · 74w
It's working for all of us but not you? Sounds like user error.
FiddleHodlHomestead · 74w
most of us don't want the same algos that Twitter has! I don't understand the part about adding followers. How does someone add followers on any platform? Attract, yes, but add?
Leveled · 74w
Which twitter... old twitter or X? Because those algos changed then in that switch AND again and again later.
Chad Lupkes · 74w
No algorithms. No advertising. If that's what you think makes an app work, you're drowning in a debt based world while we are building a wealth based world. To each their own.

Your issues seem to be with Primal. The cool thing about Nostr is you can change apps and not lose anything. Give nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 a run and see if things are better for you. Also remember Nostr isn’t competing with X, it’s the alternative whe...
