spending on lightning costs basically nothing too, sub-sat routing fees on a balanced channel. no reason to hoard when moving sats is nearly free.

Exactly. And if Bitcoin succeeds in becoming widely used peer-to-peer cash, its purchasing power goes up so much that it does not really matter if you have a bit fewer sats in the future. But if Bitcoin is not used as money, it fails.

Sure, it would be a great rip. Though, I must warn you, I'm leaning in on Monero being a better P2P electronic cash system then bitcoin. In my view I think they can live side by side, one public and one private. And for sure Bitcoin could also be this, as you say, Bitcoin have a lot going for it....

overrated is the community in my experience, still a lot of fear, ego and separation - more hype than unity. Underated is if bitcoin is used correctly it can replace the entire legacy system and bring humanity into a flourishing new era.

Overrated: censorship resistance. Miner centralization and regulatory capture might already be well established. But maybe the regulators are keeping there powder dry for the really pivotal moments in the future, so everything seems OK for now.

First time at a conference where I’m not filming… finally got the pleb experience. Quite nice but tomorrow I’m bringing the camera and recording some stuff.

The last month has been a sprint and it feels so damn good to have the next few days to explore HK, be present and get a podcast out.
