I don't think “GTFO” is the answer. Maybe the incentives aren't properly aligned to promote quality content, or maybe it's just a matter of time. Shitposters will eventually get bored if no one pays attention to them.

From my perspective, the platform needs to mature to the point where people stop talking about the platform itself and start discussing other topics. But that’s a matter of time; for example, posts on Instagram aren’t about Instagram, because enough time has passed for people to start talking about other things.

On Mastodon, people used to spend all their time talking about Mastodon and how it was better than the alternatives. After years, people started discussing a variety of topics, including personal ones. But it didn’t happen overnight.

Maybe I’m wrong, but the site’s very name, “BCHNostr,” might be contributing to it being somewhat single-topic (BCH and Nostr), though I’m not sure if the name has that kind of influence.

El fin de semana pasado un musulmán atacó un evento gay. Desde ayer más de 50mil marroquíes invaden Ceuta entrando a la fuerza, destruyendo todo a su paso y atacando españoles.

Entre esos dos eventos distanciados por un par de días, un español intentó convencerme que esa gente eran seres de luz. Porque pueden haber excepciones, claro.

A new release of sabigoku (v0.1.3) is out. It contains no functional changes from v0.1.2 but was published to unblock the AUR package build. The previous v0.1.2 added self-updating with a cached boot-time check, a one-time zigoku import, and a transparent background option.
