Number 7 (the book with probabilistic text) reminds me of Find the Fox, a 200-page word search book that has just the letters 'F', 'O', and 'X' in all of its grids but only one instance of the word 'FOX' in *the whole book* to find. I'm reminded of this because, in order to prevent spoilers, the author used a script to generate the grids in each copy - no two books have the fox in the same place!

@nprofile1q... I had to part with my older computers some time ago, sadly, but I've got an XP virtual machine install that I've copied through three computers now that I still use regularly.

@nprofile1q... I just recently had to replace my computer; the old one had an amazing optical drive, the new one doesn't have one at all. I am using - I kid you not - an Xbox 360 HD DVD drive as an external drive until I find an enclosure for the internal drive I harvested from the previous machine. (The internal memory of the HD DVD drive fried long ago, but it still reads discs just fine!)
