In ninth grade I was in a dramatic interp contest at the NYS JCL (Junior Classical League) yearly convention, where participants had to recite the story of Pyramus & Thisbe (in Latin, ofc) as we acted it out-- and shockingly, I got 1st place (I was competeing against other 9th- 12th graders from across the state.) I think a lot of it was bc I never watched anyone else do theirs, so when I did mine I just went for it and didnt know or care if I looked stupid. All these years later I remember every single word, too, lol-- I could speak/act it out rn (and sometimes, very occasionally, if you catch me at just the right moment, I do!)🫀
