The only thing worse than a journalist is a sports journalist/sports radio host

Grown men who sit on their ass for a living talking about how they expect athletes to perform better , throw faster, hit harder , and be better leaders

Makes me genuinely disgusted

Trying to spend one hour a day at night doing something with Ai

This week I’ve been taking Anthropic’s free courses on working with Claude. They each come with a LinkedIn badge I can put in my profile (don’t judge me, I was late to Bitcoin and still have to work)

Last night and today I’ve been designing a resume website for myself to make my resume just ever so slightly more visually appealing and entertaining

I’ve added a section where I can display the iPhone app I am also building when it makes its way to the App Store

I’ve gotten comfortable using Claude in VScode now which opens up a whole new world of possibility

Keep in mind two weeks ago I’d never written a line of code in my life

This has been a fun and rewarding experience

I have become a vibe coding expert . Kinda .

I’ve built an entire iPhone app for basic data entry and cataloging entirely on local storage in about 4 hours of work

It’s probably the most barebones simplest thing one could even conceive of building. And I’m sure seasoned developers would laugh at the accomplishment I feel with the simplicity of what the app can do for what it’s designed for. I’m sure they could tell me a million better ways to do it and things that would make it more usable and fun.

But I don’t care. Because here is the truth.

I built a working , usable application that solves for a specific problem in my real life. Something I will use , and something I want to share with my friends and family who I know would benefit from using it. In a few weeks at most, I will have a published application, fully functional with plenty of cool features , live on the Apple App Store (that’s the goal, anyway).

One week ago, I had never written a line of usable code in my life. I had never pushed a single commit to GitHbub. EVER. Now with AI, I can do things that were never possible to me before. The progress I made in a week is far beyond anything I could have expected. the rate at which I’m learning , picking up new strategies , and evolving a mental framework for building is accelerating at a crazy rapid pace.

At this rate, the only limit is my imagination. If I can dream if, I can build it.

Onwards.
