I had to transfer an old 401k to a new provider. The old provider MAILED me a PHYSICAL CHECK which I then had to MAIL to the new provider

The entire process has taken weeks at this rate. No ability for them to send it direct, I had to be the middle man for some reason.

Tell me something. Why is this necessary? It’s almost 2027 and I’m stuffing a check with my entire retirement fund in a mailbox hoping it arrives where it needs to, and that it was made out correctly for the receiver to accept it and deposit it into my new account.

The technology we have today is decades ahead of the current fiat financial system. It’s honestly pathetic if you ask me. With Bitcoin this entire process could have been done more securely in a matter of minutes.

We are so early that it’s going to be painful for so many decades.
