@nprofile1q... People using "woman" as an adjective, which it is not. There is no woman president, woman leader, woman doctor, and so on. We would not say "he's a man teacher," and "she's a woman artist" is just as wrong.

This has gotten caught up in incel culture. People now feel that "woman" should always be used because incels use "female" where *both* would be fine to use. That's a terrible reason to screw up English grammar.

@nprofile1q... I like how this thread is filled with whiners who both hate free search options because they’ve enshittified *and* who find it repugnant to think of paying for search. Oh, and who also didn’t read the article because they missed the points about tokens and tor compatibility.

@nprofile1q... Mozilla is preparing for a world where the US government (rightly) forces them to do without 90+% of their revenue. Rather than getting disgusted at them, why don't we urge the EU to support them and even do something crazy like take seats on their board or something? Could happen... maybe? Mozilla and this fork you want to make will die without support.

@nprofile1q... “the fedi is supposed to be a friendly, welcoming online space, right? But the fact is, it isn't. It's just like everywhere else online”

TRUE. It’s friendly and welcoming as long as you’re willing to contribute to the self-reinforcing echo chamber. No one interested in alternative views and if you have any, blocks fly left and right (after they get in the last word, of course).
