@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... Yeah, I tried to be careful, and paint a picture of what I want. This hyper-million QSO QSO QSO thing just isn't my bag. They have other products too - hamstream seems to be the other main one right now.

The interesting bit is how it seems like part of it is they want special events stations to buy their package and let this be their stack - underscores the value or interest perhaps in xOTA bootstrap open source efforts?

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... "Special Event pricing", "Personal Pricing", "Hunter Premium". It's money all the way down.

This is so far removed from a kindly old ham dropping a QSL card in the mailbox on their dogwalk, or being greeted by the local postal person as they hand them a newly delivered QSL card from distant lands as the sun filters through the kitchen window on a warm summer morning while the scent of cornbread wafts from the oven. Birds chirp in the distance.

It's not for me.

@nprofile1q... The bizarre bit is that, to the current extent of my knowledge (ie. I haven't seen any documentation that says it has changed in any recent release), it is still a code change to tweak a magic number, and not a simple configuration setting. I don't even think there is an underlying DB schema change or anything (and it's definitely not an ActivityPub protocol limitation), I think it's purely a magic number.
