botanica, my attempt at making it dead-easy to run a matrix server

botanica is something I've been thinking of and working on recently, the idea is of making a Fedora Bootc-based image that includes everything you need; Continuwuity, Sable, Caddy, Cockpit as a system dashboard, and a little script that takes care of configuring the basics for you.

but, not just that! in the future I want this to be an installable ISO, so that you can just boot this on an old PC and be running a Matrix server together with a modern webclient within 30 minutes.

right now the status it that in theory the image includes everything you need, but the script that would configure it to you needs to be rewritten to use a different approach altogether from what I've been doing while half-asleep :P

hi chat, have a situation here that I'd like more info on and perhaps someone here knows a little more

basically, there's someone I know that has German citizenship, but hasn't lived in Germany for a majority of their life, and just moved here, not quite 18 yet. How's health insurance work in that situation?

AFAIK one would usually be insured through family, but family is in another country and not registered with any German insurance (AFAIK) so that's obviously not it

doesn't mean we want it to be a clone, though! we would like to take some...creative liberties down the line but that's for the future.
