1971-1984 Alpine A310

The Alpine A310, produced from 1971 to 1984, is a French sports car that holds a special place in automotive history. It was the successor to the iconic Alpine A110 and played a crucial role in maintaining Alpine's reputation for building agile and exciting sports cars.

The A310 was designed to offer a more modern and refined driving experience while retaining the nimbleness and performance characteristics that made its predecessor famous. In terms of technical specifications, the A310 was powered by a range of engines over its production years, including various Renault four-cylinder and V6 engines. The early models featured a rear-mounted Renault 1.6-liter engine, while later versions saw upgrades to larger displacement V6 engines, like the 2.7-liter PRV V6. The engine was typically paired with a manual gearbox, providing drivers with the engagement and control essential for a true sports car experience. The A310 featured a rear-wheel-drive layout and independent suspension, which contributed to its agile handling characteristics.

The Alpine A310 has gained a dedicated following among enthusiasts and collectors. Its unique design, compact dimensions, and lightweight construction make it an appealing choice for those seeking a vintage sports car experience. Furthermore, the limited production numbers and the car's relative rarity in comparison to other European sports cars of its era have contributed to its desirability among collectors. Well-maintained examples, especially the later V6-powered models, can command high prices in the classic car market.

Production numbers for the Alpine A310 were relatively low, especially when compared to mainstream sports cars. Only 2310 examples were made during it's production run. This exclusivity adds to its allure for collectors. This scarcity, combined with its historical significance and distinct design, enhances its collectible status.

In terms of performance, the Alpine A310 offered a thrilling driving experience. The lightweight chassis and well-tuned suspension allowed for sharp handling and responsive steering. With the more potent V6 engines, the A310 could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 7 seconds, making it a competitive sports car for its time. The top speed varied depending on the engine, but it generally exceeded 130 mph, offering impressive performance on both road and track.

The Alpine A310 is a cherished classic sports car with a rich history, unique design, and impressive performance characteristics. Its limited production numbers, coupled with its cult following among enthusiasts. #cars #carstr #carchain #carporn #grownostr

as a toxic spelling maximalist i WOULD comment on the lack of an "n" but i have decided not to just this once :D

When elon says he will "protect anons" he means doing identity verification on every user and trusting him to protect user privacy. The data will inevitably be shared, sold, or leaked. Nostr fixes t...

Spot on Matt.

Not sure why being anon is a bad thing? I wrote this the other day about anonymity and why it's important, especially in public discourse. We sadly seem to be going in the wrong direction like always in the long march to the Orwellian dystopia.

there is ONE thing in the "cons" column for anons and that is the odious-yet-human ability to turn into a vile personality because you can hide behind anonymity. In the meat-space people simply can't become so vile because your physical person is undeniably linked to who you are... Don't get me wro...

How do we support small creator accounts? Talking to a creator, she mentioned that, in her experience over the past 2 months, the average zap amount per user in Nostr is an order of magnitude lower ...

This is a good question @Vitor Pamplona that pertains to me as I would be classified as smaller creator and would REALLY like to make automotive stuff into something I can live off of and get out of my part-time soulless 9-5 grind that I'm currently doing now. I do my automotive content right now as more of a labor of love as I believe in #nostr so much and want to meet other like-minded people who share in my passion. For now I do it for fun and to share in a hobby, but have thought about making it into a side hustle as I'm sick of my IRL job. If I could transition to something that allowed me to make $1500-2000 USD a month consistently and is something I'm passionate about and find fun in, I would be overjoyed and fulfilled.

Reality as a small creator, in my case, writing about often limited production cars takes hours of research as sometimes info isn't readily available, is inaccurate online/needs a fact check. Their is one time one of the features I have done, I had to actually go on a forum and find the answer as a simple Google search provided no results. I then have to write and edit a few paragraphs to make it worthwhile for people. Often times this clashes with other obligations, but for now I have made it work the best I can, but to be honest I know I can devote more, do more and provide higher quality value and create more value for people and #nostr if things like my job didn't get in the way.

Ultimately, my conclusion for ideas to make a living if I put on my entrepreneur hat on is by selling a physical products, a service or running events of some type to make a living or a combo of all 3. The only thing keeping me from doing the cool pie in sky ideas I have is lack of time and at times I'm unsure if their is interest in my content and lack of investment capital. I can't commit to anything if I don't know if their is interest here in numbers to make any of these things worthwhile doing.

I have seen some creator accounts link to Geyser to fund their efforts @No Bullshit Bitcoin and @BTC Sessions come to mind, but even bigger accounts like them aren't raking in the dough to live in any North American city at least from Geyser proceeds. I have thought of doing the same, but with no expectation I would receive anything from the broader Bitcoin community, just like here.

To me, whether someone can live off of proceeds exclusive from #nostr depends on a lot of factors and their business model. But for a lot of us the niche that we are creating content for is small and hasn't arrived yet here. For other platforms it is most definitely a challenge and likely efforts will end in failure as it's incredibly difficult to stand out from the crowd and centralized algos seem to be skewed toward larger creators in the niche. At least that is what I have seen from people I know doing Youtube and Twitter content. So to me it's almost a non-starter!

So from my perspective as a small creator, it would be nice, but I'm presented with a reality that it's unlikely I will ever make it, not saying I won't try any of my ideas I have planned, but to make any significant income to transition full-time is a far away dream.

I am grateful for all the support whether it's likes, follows, zaps, comments, reposts people have gave me thus far as I have never expected anything in return. I have been really humbled by this experience as going into it I felt people wouldn't care about what I have to say or the content I post about. So to anyone who consumes my content and happens to read this note a big thanks from me and I appreciate it more than you realize. Even if I might not interact with you on a regular basis I REALLY do appreciate you!

In the end I'm content with meeting like-minded folks and they can throw me some appreciation as they see fit, whether a zap, like, comment, repost, follow.

That's my 2 #sats anyway.

Alby scheduled payments is a beta of a subscription service for Nostr and Bitcoin in general but yes it does need to become more fleshed out. It certainly will over time.
