Roughly 250 years ago, the Founding Fathers decided to separate from what they believed to be a tyrannical government, due in part to an effective 8% tax on tea.
I’m thankful I live in this country, and hope we learn to lean into the original ethos of individual liberty and a general distain for governmental tyranny.
