What amazes me about Xanadu is that with a budget of $20 million USD in 1979 (which would be $88 million USD in 2026), an a seemingly experienced crew of film set builders, you would think that Club Xanadu's front facade would have been built entirely.

Instead, we get a crappy drawing that could double as an ELO album cover.

@nprofile1q... ah damn, Sandinista is one of my all time favorite records. I still have an original pressing of In God We Trust Inc on vinyl. There was a time I could of got all the Minute Men on vinyl, original pressings, for like $30, still regret that missed opportunity.

This makes me want to look for my Black Flag/Rollins band stuff. I have the first Rollins Band record with a lengthy hand written note inside, sounds like it is from Henry too.

@nprofile1q... Where do ya draw the line is another favorite of mine. Few bands put out that good of a record, for their genre(s), as their last.

Like the poor Clash, Cut the Crap, ugh, even a horrible name for what would be a horrible record.

Cut the Crap has grown on me over the years though, Three Card Trick, This is England and another track or two I like off it. Listen to somewhat regularly.
