At the #allotment today I bumped into the site secretary who said that she will get the site steward to phone me. I've been unsuccessful in tracking her down myself.
I need to talk to her about my plans to relinquish my second plot.

The other thing the secretary suggested was that they might be able to get the Community Payback group to clear the plot for me.
This is a double edged offer (if it comes off) because I want to move some plants and I can't do that until the autumn.

I think I'm resigned to buying new apple trees rather than moving the existing ones.

I feel like I'm being rushed into the move. But that might be because I'm not firing on all cylinders at the moment.

Home repair advice sought (UK)

I'm looking at replacing the skirting board in a curved bay window wall.
Has anyone any experience of the flexible skirting that's now available?

It looks almost too easy to be true - heat, press into position, fix to the wall. But it looks very expensive.

Any thoughts?

The thing that amazes me about #Pointless on #bbc1 is how Alexander Armstrong can say the same retched words on every blithering episode and not go stark raving bonkers.

In an ironic twist, we're in Belfast having a great time, and our daughter in Northamptonshire has been evacuated from her flat because of a bomb scare!

Electric scooters and E-motorbikes need to come off the UK government's 'too difficult' pile and receive some urgent legislative attention and consistent enforcement.

(I refuse to call them eBikes because this confuses the issue with perfectly legal electrical assist bicycles)
