would you recommend plain unscented tallow soap if showings with it every day? do you think scents, even ones using essential oils can disrupt that?
It depends how sensitive your skin is. Essential oils can disturb your skin if it’s very sensitive so in that case I would recommend our dried chamomile & calendula which doesn’t contain any essential oils

if washing daily with tallow soap only, does it disturb it far less? or maybe just water alone is better
Absolutely because it cleans without stripping the skin of its natural oils. Tallow’s fatty-acid profile is also very compatible with our skin’s natural lipids, which helps support the barrier after washing.
