There are so many reasons we are passionate about what we do.

Selling a product that positively contributes to the health of our customers while also effectively acting as a solution to their problems, whether it be dry skin, eczema, rosacea, acne, etc.

Honoring the cow who gave their life for our benefit is another reason that fuels our passion. We wholeheartedly believe in honoring the cow by using everything they have to offer. Nose-to-tail, we call it. Eating the meat and organs, cooking in their fat, and in our case, using their fat to make the best possible skincare on the market.

But the most important part of our mission, and the main fuel to our fire, is being able to do our small part to support the most important individuals in the world, which are without a doubt our ranchers.

They provide humans with the most important resource there is. Food. Energy.

Without ranchers, the majority of humanity quite literally cannot survive.

Look at the difference in compensation between people as critical as our ranchers, who literally keep society alive, versus finance suits who make millions per year just to “show up.” They play with arbitrary numbers on spreadsheets, provide no real value to society, and in many cases actually make things worse, yet they earn exponentially more than the people producing the food that keeps us alive.

But don’t get it twisted. Not every rancher is created equal.

You have the ones who sold their soul to Big Ag. The ones who don’t treat their cattle the right way. Injecting them with hormones and vaccines, stuffing them into feedlots, fattening them up by any means necessary to increase ROI, and then feeding these diseased animals to their customers.

That’s not who I’m talking about.

I’m talking about ranchers who chose the hard path.

The ones who are truly passionate about what they do. The ones working two jobs, or a full-time job while ranching on the side, because they love it even though they barely break even or even lose money doing it.

Ranchers like Red Banks Beef Farm, who is our rancher.

The ones who treat their cattle with dignity and respect the way God intended.

These cattle live a better life with ranchers like this than they would out in the wild, where they have no safeguards. This is something vegans often fail to understand.

The cattle live as good of a life as possible and then have one bad day.

And I hate to be the one to break it to you, but that one bad day is coming for you, me, and everyone else too. It’s inevitable.

The best we can do is live a high-quality life, contribute to society, and live with purpose.

For us, honoring the cattle nose-to-tail is part of how we do that. And supporting small, responsible ranchers is another.

Maybe our votes at the ballot box don’t matter.

But I’ll tell you what does matter.

Voting with our money.

the problem is

Your stratum corneum (main skin barrier) is not just a surface to coat.

It’s made of corneocytes (think of bricks) surrounded by intercellular lipids (think mortar)

Those lipids are biologically active. They regulate permeability, hydration, and barrier signaling.

Petroleum jelly does NOT integrate into that lipid matrix.

It just sits on top and reduces water loss mechanically.

It doesn’t replenish lipids.

It doesn’t contribute structural fatty acids.

Tallow contains palmitic acid, stearic acid, and oleic acid.

Those are fatty acids already found in the skin’s natural barrier.

Palmitic and stearic acid provide structural reinforcement.

Oleic acid helps integrate and spread within the lipid matrix.

Instead of suffocating the skin, it supports the mortar between the bricks.

Vaseline is an inert sealant derived from crude oil.

Tallow is biologically compatible. With human skin, derived from beef fat
