Dads: teach them to say sorry and teach them how to forgive. Model and coach the process, visibly, in your house.

Go to the person you wronged, then say "I am sorry that I did X, that was wrong. Will you forgive me?" Show remorse and ensure X is a properly communicated steelman. Then ensure the other person accepts and releases the offending person of the debt.

This entire process is not obvious and failure at any point in the chain breeds resentment and will destroy a relationship over time.

Knowing how to do this well is a prerequisite to an honorable life.
