Grew up with red and white. Pies were a bit tart for me, but the jellies and muffins were nice. I was too young to appreciate the currant brandy, kept on hand for medicinal purposes.
First harvest most years is maybe a handful of beans. Not this year! I'll pick more later. I do want to try making a small batch of pickled beans just to see if I like them.
In my early Linux days, 20-25 yrs ago, I tried a lot of distros and window managers. Had to resolve dependencies by hand back then. Ew. Eventually settled on Ubuntu, but switched to Mint when Ubuntu got really bloated. I do a lot of work in Blender, and found that with Linux I could skip the GUI to render stuff faster on the command line. Mmmm...FOSS...
