It's only dangerous to Nostr. I'm sure there'd've been much butthurtness for 24hrs and then they'd've built something better. For all you know, perhaps that happened actually and TCP *was* that somet...

Ok, good points. You said "the faster nostr dies, the better" (so that developers currently working on nostr would instead focus their energy on a new and better protocol with a different crypto implementation). Is it because you truly want to see a better protocol arise, or is it because you don't like nostr or you're frustrated by nostr's limitations ?

I've never heard anyone on nostr say "the faster pubky dies, the better".Many nostr developers and users are probably already using pubky and have respect for the project. No protocol needs to die in the process, there can be peaceful coexistence.

All of the above. Mesh is better than relays. Nostr's architecture affords it negligible resilience, and there is no feasibility way of retro-fitting it. 'Fail Fast' is an engineering imperative.

The faster Nostr dies the better imo. Only because it's consuming the resource of a lot of outstanding engjneers who could be building on a much more worthy protocol layer... Ed25519 based or otherwi...

It's your opinion, and a dangerous argument. Imagine if the engineers who designed the TCP protocol, or the HTTP protocol, were told "Stop working on this, you're wasting your time, we could build something so much better using our ideas" ... Complete sabotage. We wouldn't have had landline phones and trains with this reasoning.

Stop wishing death on protocols that work and allow people to communicate freely please.
