Ever wished you could have multiple independent mouse cursors on your Linux machine? No? Anyway, turns out Wayland supports that pretty well! Let me tell you what I learned: https://blinry.org/multi...

@nprofile1q... Thanks for all the research on this. I haven't done multi-seat stuff since before Xorg (XFree86). Now I want to again! My use case would be one small level up thought....

I use Deskflow (in the line of synergy/input leap/barrier/etc.) to use one set of inputs across a couple local devices, including sometimes ones that are also in use with their own devices. What would be amazing is if those could fire up a new seat on the remote devices instead of hijacking the existing local inputs.

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... I saw (and packaged) the 2.0 release of himalaya recently and left myself a tab open to review whether it is turning into slop too. Mind you I don't know that it is, I was just a bit suspicious of the size of the realease and some holes in the story for removed features. Did you put it though the paces yet?

@nprofile1q... I have a #framework 13
with 96 Gigs I scored last year just before RAM prices started to climb. Now I have regrets ... a kind of survivors remorse. Do I even want to know how much that would cost me today? Should I sell it off? These are questions I haven't answered.

Found an amazing tool for fixing broken Git history 💯 ⏪ **git-time-machine** — A TUI for navigating Git reflog 🔥 Rebase, reset, undo any Git mistake quickly with a visual timeline 🦀 Wr...

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... My usual sarcasm aside, I've been messing with this one and I think I would actively recommend **AGAINST** using it or promoting it.

This is AI slop with a note of danger. The OP building it doesn't understand the Git reflog very well and isn't competent to notice when the AI generated code and documentation doesn't match. The UI and most of the actions are reasonable enough, but with easy recovery of states it also make it easy to LOOSE states.

Caleb Maclennan profile picture
@nprofile1q... From the earliest invention of the concept of Hypertext to now is about 90 years.

From the known widespread use of Cuneiform on clay tablets to the invention of Hypertext is at least 5200 years, possibly much longer to earliest invention.

You aren't even within two orders of magnitude.
