The one thing I really notice when hosting crypto or ai conferences is there is no ideology Bitcoin confs - particularly the smaller ones - have a shared ethos of belief system I don’t wanna cal...

I feel one aspect of this is the universal need to narrow down parameters, otherwise it is difficult to get people on the same page. However, personally, I feel like I am "crypto-homeless", as whereas "crypto" spaces lack focus, Bitcoin spaces are too tightly demarcated to allow for new developments in the bona fide financial freedom tech stack.

The biggest problem of Nostr is that most of the content is still bitcoin-focused. That's a great problem to have. If you like anything other than Bitcoin, your voice will be unique. Be the change yo...

One thing I would say is that while Saylor and Back - and indeed most Bitcoin thought leaders - are #Bitcoin only, people like Ross Ulbricht, Edward Snowden and Ron Paul are a bit different from those two. e.g. Ross has described Bitcoin forks as part of Bitcoin's decentralisation. But it takes a brave man to step outside the rigid groupthink!

Here's the thing: if the goal is promoting "a peer to peer electronic cash system" or "building the financial freedom tech stack", then is Saylor even relevant? One might say that both pro- and anti-Saylor sentiments are both tangential to those goals. The other side of the coin is whether there are themes which are off-limits, which should rightfully be considered as key facets of building the financial freedom tech stack. #Bitcoin #AskNostr

IMO, the financial freedom tech stack could conceivably be best implemented via Bitcoin + one judiciously chosen L1. The additional L1 would suggest itself in terms of rigorous technological criteria. Are you here for this conversation? (Which would seem reasonable, based on the headaches and trade-offs entailed by Bitcoin + Layer 2 solutions.)
