For pennies, spin up a VPN protected "burner" browser ad hoc. Sign up behind built in Tor, pay with xmr and you're anon all the way. I have a HV browser for general web search, then another for substack only, then another for just YouTube etc. I have put it through its paces and can say its truly one of a kind. So I share your earlier sentiment that even in this crazy digital prison, some truly interesting minds are producing some fascinating defenses..
