I've got no clue as to the particulars of what it's being used for, or how they even classify which crypto transfers count as remittance payments. But ultimately it's being used for something.

I mean, cross-border remittances take about 3-5 days, and charge something like a >6% fee. So using Bitcoin or a stablecoin ends up being a lot cheaper and faster.

Not sure, i could envision the woke relays blocking free speech relays and even bitcoin maxi relays blocking monero or other coin relays. I still don't see how relay level blocking won't result in a b...

Yeah, that's the thing. If the relays are all carrying the same redundant information, then there's not really much incentive for most people to join a ton of different relays, so it'll centralize. If they are unique, then it'll eventually fragment and not be much different than fedi.

I am curious as to the incentives for joining multiple relays. The majority of people, who have no interest in violating social norms, don't really have to worry about censorship. So all those people will ultimately centralize to a handful of relays. That is unless relays become themed/branded entities, with local feeds catering to people subscribed to that particular relay (e.g., the fediverse bridge relays).

Yes, what I said too, in about 2 days using it. You can't change censorship. It's trait of mass colletive debilization. Nothing any protocol can solve.
