I write the books I want to read but can't find.

I will, on occasion, post the picture of a park, usually taken in the morning on the day of the post. I use the tag #tommw for Talking On My Morning Walk, my somewhat daily podcast.

I never post the link. The picture is the "first word" of the podcast and tells my listeners that the new episode is coming. They know how to find it.

A new day. A new chance to succeed.

A quiet day planned. A day to drift, I think.

The sun's about to rise, and I need to get my walk in before it gets too high in the sky.

Some things I can't fight. I just have to adapt to them. Summer heat. Winter cold. Limits brought on by age and inclination.

And that's okay.

Railing against the universe, shouting at clouds for blocking the sun, bemoaning a falling tide?

Foolish. I hope I've learned better.

A new day. A new chance to succeed.

A few extra tasks on the normal list, but nothing to onerous.

Bread rising in the kitchen. It needs to wake up from a night in the fridge before baking.

A grocery run folded into a regular taxi job in the heat of the afternoon.

A rest day from walking. Given the temp at sunrise (80F), I'm just as glad.

So a low-key Monday morning. A day I'm looking forward to living.

Nothing new on the agenda beyond chop wood, carry water.

I need to get back to writing. I've let the ideas slosh around in brain juice for months now and just need the spark to ignite a good, ol' fashioned writing binge.

The kind where I disappear for a week or two, sinking into the fictional world spooling off my fingers.

I can't seem to break free of reality just yet but the pressure is building.
