I am sorry, if you expect the average use to switch playstores it's just not going to happen. And this one of the reasons not many users use these apps. You just need to reconsider.
Good reality check, but I don't see it that definitely. Understand the problem and adapt to it. They work on convenience, intuition,... One thing that comes ti mind- if @Zapstore remakes it's icon into something normie friendly like a 2x2 grid of two apps, lightning and a plus sign, something like that
