I'm starting a radical experiment now.

I'll be volutarily mute—no speech whatsoever. Will use signs & text (on phone) to communicate with people as necessary.

As someone prone to 'overthinking', I just want to see what this leads to. I have no idea, but we shall see. Why not.

Trying something new.

Reset everything I published online. Then temporarily quit social media (X & Discord). Created a /now page to show what I'm up to: https://srid.ca

I think it is best to create content *in* our own sites, and then *link to it* from social media (X, Nostr, etc.).

Fun aside: I just let Claude Code edit content & deploy https://npub1wnel9fspxh8ytj4dw6rpfyt3h9cp4g9chzedag32yjegpld3jmfqt2hgmd.blossom.band/402ab9d1d993876efaf4b07e9d709f6033a7106a26a755c48497d328b02021ac.jpg

yes 100% it's also the path back to a "small web" and greases the wheels for p2p systems

Great initiative. I like it, great for unstructured times where you just want to share various projects' progress! I will likely do the same!

> Ruthlessly channel any fear, aggression, desire into as sensuous an enjoyment as possible -> Appreciate simply being alive (and then some more) each and every moment. Love this.

been tweeting my thoughts to a blog first and then crossposting since a while, feels good to have my stuff in one place that i control, and also with references to where it is on X, nostr, etc… https://rosano.ca/log/type/thought/

right. "nym" being short for pseudonym. nostr keypairs are free and permissionless. there's nothing stopping you from generating a nym or 3, using a vpn or tor, and posting to your heart's content. there is a lot more work for the ecosystem to do before nostr is truly Tor-friendly, but it's prett...

Whatever I write on Nostr will be on the internet forever. At least on X (Twitter), I can _delete_ posts. But not on Nostr (NIP-09 is a request not a guarantee).

What does this tell me? I guess I better not post my _opinions_ on anything controversial. Stick to tech and such?

the best part of nostr is that people don't hold back with their opinions. at least i don't. but perhaps consider a nym if you want to go full hog with controversial shit

Because no one cares about privacy, really.
