@nprofile1q... Maybe I am... 🔮 Catching up with the board meeting and Fredericksburg indeed is in both the list https://radar.rss.io/#30.2741,-98.8718,8 and the globe https://radar.rss.io/#30.2741,-98.8718,8,globe
But I did send a strongly worded email to our product team after @nprofile1q... could not easily find the location UI at the channel level 🤣 Heads will roll 😉

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... James, I shipped your ideas for radar.rss.io : "made in" vs "about" is now in the Globe view, both as a filter and as dot colors. Podcast cards also do OSM lookups now when you click on them, so you can see what a place actually is.
And 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 I added a Radio Garden-inspired random play: tap once and the globe flies you to a random show and plays its latest episode. Keep tapping, keep hopping. Been playing with it for 30 minutes straight... almost mesmerizing!

@nprofile1q... Did improvements. check now.
Search location needs APIs so won't build for now to avoid sharing private keys in my SPA without backend.

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... added a few improvements to the Podcast Radar, better UI and now it's easier to navigate the stacked podcasts in the Globe view.

@nprofile1q... David I think it's because you didn't click the button "find podcasts near me", evidently the CTA was not clear enough. I improved the UI and also now it auto searches even if one only moves the radius bar. Let me know if this solves

@nprofile1q... which browser are you using? Radar asks for the browser location works in chrome and safari mobile and desktop for me

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... cc @nprofile1q... I already had most of the code from Podroll Atlas, so I was able to adapt it and build this: https://radar.rss.io

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... Thank you. Also to clarify: these are location tags at the channel level, correct? No item level?

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... Dave initial feedback: one thing the dataset is missing is creator Vs subject which is very important here to know if location is where a podcast was recorded or what the podcast is about.

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... 📍Fantastic news! Thank you. Will be playing with it soon 😉

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... We check daily for abuse/spam, some are harder to catch, if you could share PodcastIndex feedID or RSS feeds URLs we’ll review asap.

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... The Podroll Atlas runs in your browser so it uses your IP to fetch RSS feeds information. It is possible that some hosts block your IP temporarily (eg WAF rules). But it’s temporary and it’s just your local IP. It won’t create any problem whatsoever to your RSS feed which will remain accessible by the rest of the world.
