If you are a parent of a nursery or school-age child, does your nursery/ school have an explicit policy on taking photos of children while on the premises? If so, does it include a clause on connected glasses?
I am parent representative for my child's nursery, and I wonder if connected glasses are worth discussing explicitly, or if they fall under the general "don't photograph other people's children" rule.

A question for the #textile #fabric #sewing community at large: if an item is marked “wash at 30° only”, how do i figure out if that means “this will get absolutely destroyed at 60°” or “this will wear much faster but can definitely survive one wash at 60° so you can prevent your family from getting scabies”?

Resisting the urge to go "screw this, let's move to Spain, the only country that seems to have an ethical leader these days" to focus more on "who is my country's Pedro Sanchez and how can I help them get elected".

You will learn so much about a successful woman’s personal life before you learn her name.
As a “mom in her forties” type of woman, if I ever do something as cool as winning an Olympic medal, please share my name first.

We’ve had a solid and trusty 3-wheeler Christiania #CargoBike for several tears now and we’re mostly very happy with it. But I increasingly get envious of the Urban Arrows and similar 2-wheeler bikes at nursery drop-off. Once thing that is holding us back from switching is wondering how stable they are on snow/ice. Our route is not consistently cleared in winter and I wouldn’t want to slide down. What are people’s experiences with that?

Across continents and millennia, what truly unites humanity is our need to be left the fuck alone at home.

#knitting Due to an unfortunate accident yesterday, I need to replace my 3mm interchangeable circular needles. When I purchased them I was new to knitting and went for the cheapest set. Now that I know i am sticking with the hobby, I feel comfortable investing more.
So: product recommendation for circular needles, anyone? What do you love, hate?
