Vielleicht ist das nur meine Weltsicht/soziales Umfeld, aber ich finde das Thema "(emotionale) Einsamkeit als Vater/Mutter" ist bisher auch sehr unterrepräsentiert?

Man versucht natürlich (mental) dagegen anzukämpfen - auch wegen den vielen schönen Momenten mit Kind und der besonderen Zeit.

Aber Phasen wie die #Elternzeit können ja je nach Umfeld / Supportnetzwerk auch erstmal sehr isolierend wirken. Oft fehlt auch die Kraft, Angebote zu finden, Termine auszumachen, etc. - auch weil andere Eltern 24/7 mit ihrer #CareArbeit beschäftigt sind.

On top kommen jetzt auch noch #Hitzewelle(n)-Sommer, die zusätzlich die Möglichkeiten einschränken.

Was sind eure Erfahrungen?🤗

Man merkt, dass man älter wird, wenn einem Festplatten viel zu klein vorkommen. 😄 (Kingston SSD)

Würde weiterhin schon gerne alles (Fotos von Android, Dateiablage, Passwortmanager für Mobil und Desktop & Co) in eine familiäre #Nextcloud o.ä. schieben. Auch um Abo-Kosten (Passwort Manager, Google One) zu sparen.

Server im Wohnzimmer stehen haben, finde ich nicht so sinnvoll wegen Hitze & Co, auch Sicherheit / Wartung. Aber habe mich noch nicht in VPN Tunnel Option vertieft, das geht ja anscheinend ohne Router-Port öffnen (?)

Von #ManagedNextcloud bei Hetzner o.ä. hält mich noch ab, dass der Hoster ja auch alle privaten Fotos sehen kann. Ende-zu-Ende-Verschlüsselung ist anscheinend ja umständlich (?)

Aber natürlich können auch Google/Apple aktuell alle Fotos sehen, also das Argument zieht nicht so ganz 🤓

Man braucht halt Motivation für den Switch...

Still thinking about my personal data (#backup) strategy. How do you solve it?

Current setup: Google Drive with Desktop Client was good the last years, I have files a) on my laptop as well as b) synced to GDrive (cloud). Cheap pricing per year.

Now, for obvious reasons, a european replacement would be great. 🇪🇺

Mailbox(.org) Cloud has only WebDav, no Desktop Client. ❌

Regarding low budget, #pCloud has a desktop client + lifetime plans (Switzerland) 🤔

A local NAS could help as well, but it's often pointed out that doesn't count as reliable backup. So I'd need a third backup solution (or use q Cloud Backup service for the NAS content - in the EU? How do NAS user manage this?)

Hetzner has managed Nextcloud, but it's 5€/month.

Any other strategies for low budget?

Installed #obsidian for #notes, also want to try #joplin as open source alternative.

But I don't want to sync every added word to the cloud immediately. Just feels not sustainable at all to trigger a network request and upload for every character 🌱 #greenIT

Currently looking into launchd (cronjobs) to copy my notes folder into the owncloud folder just every hour. How do you all solve this?
