One of the worst things about flying: the duty free shop right after security that you MUST walk through and that stinks of perfume like there's no tomorrow. Thank fsck I already have a headache or t...

@nprofile1q... I really wonder what happens if you do shit that would cause normal shop-owners from denying you access, such as "accidentially" tipping over shelves or something. Would you not be permitted from travelling ex this airport because you can't NOT go through the Duty Free? 🤔

@nprofile1q... 🤦‍♂️
it took me until now to understand that you were not using "GNOME Software" as a general term for anything GNOME, but that the Software Management tool is called "GNOME Software" 🤦‍♂️
yeah, having something for flatpak would be nice, most stuff I install over dnf I install using the console anyways 🤣

It's absolutely awful, the worst software management software there is... For Flatpak I really recommend https://flathub...

@nprofile1q... if you look at the screenshot, in the background dnf update came back clean. Also, FDE is a thing, and in many fields mandatory by now. So an update system that essentially does nothing but drain my battery while my laptop waits in its bag for me to enter my disk password AFTER CLICKING ON SHUTDOWN doesn't pass a very high bar of smartness in my book

@nprofile1q... it's demanding to install updates despite nothing visible left to be updated (this is AFTER I updated everything yesterday night and freshly booting this morning). Mandatory "install on shutdown" is incredibly brainfart-y on a System that has full-disk-encryption, because THE SYSTEM CANNOT REBOOT UNSUPERVISED 🤬

What the hell is #Fedora doing here and how can I tell it to stop? This fucked up update-mechanism is beginning to annoy me enough to start looking for a different distribution on that alone, nonwithstanding their urge to also jump into the AI-abyss. 🤬

I am using the usual dashboards in #HomeAssistant and one question bothers me: Can I somehow lock portions of the dashboard away behind an explicit unlock function? I have one for my printer and would like to put some functions like power on/off, e-stop or pause/continue on it. However due to the fear that I could trigger those by freak accident (and the fact I never designed a proper recover routine for my filament changer in case of print abortion and successive cooling), I haven't. Any ideas?
