I would say the TLDR is that this is not an actual vulnerability on the ecash protocol but simple fingerprinting of the browser that the user uses.
Which is a real problem and I am glad you bring this to people's attention, just in case this helps someone less technically inclined to understand it better.

Ethereum does not care about privacy and sovereignty at all. I just deployed my own self-hosted ethereum node and I cannot find a single production ready block explorer for ethereum that can be self-hosteable.
The closest I found was "LibreScan", which was abandoned by their developers 3 years ago.
It's like all the funding goes to marketing and hype rather than actual technology.
Meanwhile in bitcoin there are lots of good block explorers, mempool explorers... all selfhosteable, well documented...
