Peak life experience is when the kids are restless and it turns into the most epic and spontaneous dodgeball fight. My boys usually take Mom's side so its always 3 v 1. Since I get outnumbered I throw...

I love this 😂 don’t even worry about damaging the walls, the memories this creates for your kids are so worth it. I actually just saw a quote about this the other day:

My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would come out and say, “You’re tearing up the grass.” “We’re not raising grass,” Dad would reply. “We’re raising boys.”

Yes! We play hard and break stuff but that is part of being free humans. Plus it creates an opportunity to learn repairs 😂 I grew up in a home where we were discouraged not to play "too rough" to protect the material items and image. I won't be making that mistake in my home.

I know I would absolutely love it, only problem is the closest one is about an hour and a half from me. I’ll make it there one day.

But I definitely understand where you’re coming from regarding the TLM in English. I don’t understand the desire to change the way mass has been done for hundreds of years. If it were up to me, all masses would be TLM because that’s the way it’s always been done. No need to modernize anything.

I'd want to help you find one if I knew whereabouts you live. I'm sure you'd like it. I just wonder about the people who protest loudly that "I don't understand what they're saying!" I wonder if they would still dislike the TLM in English, because there wouldn't be any handholding, female lectors,...

Just watched Dead Poets Society for the first time in years and man what a beautiful movie. I really wish Robin Williams was still alive.

"We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for."

It really is! I explain it to every couple I marry. When I celebrate Eucharist, I do the action of confecting it. In Penance, I give absolution. But Marriage is unique in that I don’t “do” anything save for serve as a witness; it’s the couple doing. Even more interesting historically. For ...
