He is loyal to maga and his opponent Cornyn was a nasty never trumper which is why Paxton won the primary. Talarico is very polished, articulate, and has crossover appeal with his religious background. I agree that Pax will probably win, but it's going to be a close race.

Talarico has like 100x the funding right now, so if that doesn't change good chance he wins.
