@Goody

I am still on a journey of learning and I know I have a long way to go, but I’m orange-pilled and loving it! I even have the app to prove it. Thankfully, I’m surrounded by an amazing community of people who are always willing to answer questions and help along the way.

Beyond that, I find joy in life’s simple yet meaningful pursuits. I love diving into the wisdom of the Bible, cherishing time with my family, and exploring my creative side through photography and woodworking. Whether capturing a perfect shot, crafting something with my hands, or deepening my understanding of the world, I always want to grow and connect with like-minded people.

Excited to be here, let’s learn and build together!

Split into receive and send — they're different pieces: RECEIVE (others zap you): (1) In Primal → Edit Profile → confirm "Lightning Address" is your full @cluborange.org address. That becomes the lud16 field on your kind-0 event. (2) Health check the endpoint: open https://cluborange.org/.wel...

Well if you sent me a zap I have no idea where it went lol. I wish I never messed with setting up this stuff with Alby. It seems to over complicate stuff. At least for me. I just want something to auto login to nostr websites and use my cluborange lightning address for zaps for all clients. That is all I need.

So, honest question #askNOSTR

Will there come a time where some a-ho like this puts in an order for 34k btc and the system says, sorry but at this time you can only purchase 28,364BTC? Please lower your purchase request or come back later and try again?

so, I guess these companies needs to own 1/21th of all the bitcoin supply to be happyLOL

How is this freedom for the masses. I can talk to people all day long right now in MO USA and most have heard of bitcoin but actus like they would never ever touch buying any of it or pretend to even understand anything about it. I suspect that will never change.

IMO normies are too stupid and 99% will be late (same story as has always been from the dawn of time). It's the uber wealthy and businesses that will lead and push btc adoption. Would I love for my friends to buy bitcoin after I told them 1000 times and having pleb lead btc adoption? For sure Is ...

Yes. There are a couple other implementations outside of Core that you can run. Knots is the main one and Libbitcoin is another one. The short answer is no, there is not only ONE Bitcoin. This is a much more technical and nuanced discussion that I encourage you to research more, but a transaction va...

Yes, the keys only stay on your device. Neither us or Primal can see them.

Every node is a server. That is why the network is decentralized.

Good morning #NOSTR

I wish one day i can say I really understand how all this works.

I guess for a 50 something YO previous tech head, I'm not doing too bad.

I mean I got it setup. I can post, send and receive "zaps" (most days). This sometimes seems to mess up but I usually figure out teh problem.

The grand of it all I am getting older and maybe it just doesn't mean as much as it once did to me. The concept of NOST does fascinate me. You keep a tiny profile of yourself and it goes from page to page, service to service, business to business and they store none of it on their servers but you can still conduct whatever you agreed to conduct with them privately.

Is that a proper way to think of it? It is all very interesting.

Your profile information is tied to your npub . The profile information exists on relays as an "event", so relays are where that information is "stored". There is virtually nothing private about Nostr. DMs (direct messages) are mostly private. That depends on which DM method a Nostr client app uses...
