caught up with how Primal's going. it's a pretty show, it's how I imagine a Conan the Barbarian animated series would look.
thinking about the latent cynicism in... well, everything.
go back 10 years and that kind of cynicism was more relegated to the internet. the average normalfag ate up the new thing and had an optimistic outlook, while nerds online were super critical of it. but now who's optimistic? there's nowhere to escape the cynicism, not in fiction or in reality. there's just literally no escapism left among the common man.
I want a way to bring it back. I can see the weariness amongst my family and friends, struggling even as the world just sucks their joy away. at least bring back their blissful ignorance instead of this universal hopelessness, man.

got burned on lots of studying and trying to write and draw, so been gaming for the last hour

what a positively odd show. and binging something is odd for me, as well, so there's that. I think I'll rewatch it soon to chew on longer, it's only two hours worth of episodes.
there's a lot going in the finale, and yet it still feels very focused. Naoto kinda takes the reins here, being subject to his own emotions before. I guess you could say this was really about self-control, not being manipulated by his feelings for others. and that earns him some respect, at least in my book. top it off with a lot of style and fun moments and I really enjoyed this watch.
