I had my breakfast, lunch and supper at 12:15 am the next day. 7 cold shrimp with cocktail sauce, a hard boiled egg and 2 tiny ice cream cups by Blue Bell. Wondering if it’s ok to miss 3 meals and then try to eat normally the next day. It’s been intense and busy around here.

FYI just a note for anyone interested, son did fine in surgery but sure is crashed out now in bed for foreseeable future. Drew also worn out from afternoon family doctor visit that was terrific. My grandson worked so hard helping us, yay! I’ll be more usual self in another day or so!

For friends and mutuals, saga continues. Will write in morning as post for followers. Meanwhile if you enjoy sci-fi and/or anime, the 40th anniversary remastered for IMAX 1988 movie was incredible! Akira! This is a rare movie I heartily recommend you see IMAX.

Sooooo today we will learn if my wager I was better off getting the monthly service plan was worth it 3 years ago when we got a new AC and extended ductwork. As of noon it is 83° inside as our system isn’t working. The company is a big national one and the guarantee is a service call with no charges. If they can’t get it fixed completely within 3 days they must install a new one. The call is set for 3-4 pm. Worried.

Son with seizure disorder can start seizures from the heat. Even his anticonvulsants may not work. Planning to get the car running to cool him down. If the house gets to 95° I will take off to see about a hotel. This is nerve wracking. #Heat #Heatwave #Emergency #Phoenix

If anyone wonders I am quiet because I’ve had to maintain calm as these last few weeks the husband of a dear friend has died while in hospice at home. And. One of my two best friends is currently in hospice and not expected to live much longer. Just waiting to hear what is inevitable is very sobering.

In the meantime sure would be nice if this insane heat would give us a break and I could break a long spell of daily migraine.

Meanwhile I do appreciate hearing what’s going on in friend’s lives and celebrating simple joys.

My son Drew asked his niece to draw a picture of something funny while they were watching TV last night. We missed seeing her dog Winston but it was too hot to take her Border Collie out in a 45 minute drive to our home in the 118° heat. They spent the evening together so Drew was overjoyed with her attention.

When they brainstormed what to make, this idea came to his mind. Oh my! Not many caregivers can jot off such an entertaining cartoon! #Cartoon #Sketch #Humor
