- Maybe you think Bitcoin developers shouldn't get any funding whatsoever - I would disagree with you on that. I think critical open source developers should not have to worry about rent and should have some financial stability. We can agree to disagree on that. It doesn't matter if you don't want them to get funded - they will find funding from someone, and it will be funding from malicious actors and questionable sources like Epstein or some company that has ulterior motives and wants to fuck with Bitcoin, and will pay them a big salary. And so the answer there - if you're concerned about malevolent funding and bad funding and bad incentives - is to offer a different path where they can have ethical, transparent, reliable funding. *That's* the answer. It's not complaining on social that we should just defund all the developers. And that's why
@OpenSats exists. And maybe you disagree. We have 371 grants out. Maybe you disagree with a couple of them or 10 of them - that's a fucking win. It's like, okay, so you agree with 360 of them. That's a pretty fucking strong hit rate. And we try and lean to "fund" rather than to "not fund". As it should be.
