I'm new to this space so pardon my ignorance, but what's preventing anyone from just self-hosting their own Matrix chat or even Nextcloud Talk instance to achieve this? is it just the hassle of setting these things up? what can be more non-KYC then a computer in your house with open source services you're running on your own?
