What would you say are your top likes/dislikes? Who would you say Omarchy is "for"? Asking cuz im considering if my normie friends and fam could handle it

It seems Omarchy is made for folks who want to push past being a surface level user. Not sure if it's normie ready yet, maybe if you don't thinker with stuff.

It's not windows / Mac safe yet, meaning security, usability, keybind heavy. I myself had to reinstall from Iwo, after using AI to tinker with config files, I have a robust backup solution so not a big deal to me, not the case for others I'm sure.

If you like learning new things and customizing its amazing, community is growing, so are the tools. It gets you off windows which was what I wanted.

Hot take:

People worry AI will weaken critical thinking…
but we already outsourced it long ago.

When narratives felt right, questioning stopped.
When narratives felt wrong, suddenly everyone cared about “thinking for themselves.”

That’s not principle—that’s convenience.

Don’t talk to me about “AI slop” when human slop gets a free pass if it aligns with the moment.

Critical thinking isn’t about rejecting AI.
It’s about applying the same standard to everything—including yourself.

Objective truth isn’t dead.
It’s just unpopular.
