Ich bin der Typ, der ein 15 Jahre altes ERP-System am Laufen hält, während andere schon dreimal "digital transformiert" haben. Legacy-Systeme sind meine Heimat – ob Windows NT, alte Linux-Distributionen oder proprietäre Nischensoftware: ich finde mich zurecht. Aber ich bin kein Museumswärter: Notfalls beherrsche ich auch jedes moderne System. Technik ist Werkzeug, keine Religion.

Mein Hauptquartier ist hier im Ruhrgebiet – aber wer mich sucht, findet mich eher auf einem IC Richtung Süden oder auf dem Fahrrad zwischen Emscher und Lippe. 25 Jahre ohne eigenes Auto haben mich gelehrt, dass Mobilität Planung braucht, aber echte Freiheit bedeutet. Ich kenne Deutschlands Bahnhöfe besser als manche ihre Nachbarschaft.

Ich würde gerne fotografieren – die Natur, die Züge, die Momente unterwegs. Aber ehrlich? Das "Foto-Gen" fehlt mir. Dafür sehe ich umso genauer hin. Die schönsten Bilder trage ich im Kopf mit.

I'm the guy keeping the 15-year-old ERP system running while others have "digitally transformed" three times already. But I'm not a museum curator: I can handle any modern system you throw at me when needed. Technology is a tool, not a religion.

Home base is the Ruhr Area – but you'll likely find me on an InterCity heading south, or cycling somewhere between the Emscher and Lippe rivers. Twenty-five years without a car taught me that mobility takes planning, but grants real freedom. I know Germany's train stations better than some people know their own neighborhoods.

I'd love to be a photographer – capturing nature, trains, those moments on the road. But honestly? I missed the photography gene. So I look closer instead. The best pictures stay in my head anyway.
