🎤 This evening, at a panel discussion and reception hosted during The Commonwealth Week at the 🇦🇺 Australian High Commission, Australia House, London by the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), I called on Commonwealth leaders and investors to explore the untapped potential of blockchain to enhance #transparency, impact, #capital flow and #investments across its economy.

🇬🇧 Delighted to represent the UK’s blockchain and digital asset industry at this evening’s House of Commons reception, which brought together trade bodies and industry associations from across the UK.

Inspiring remarks from Sir Chris Bryant MP, Minister of State at the Department for Business and Trade, who spoke with real appreciation about the vital work trade associations do to grow the UK economy — as convenors, standards-setters, and a trusted bridge between policymakers and industry.

It was also great to speak with Edward Morello MP and other Parliamentarians about the work of The British Blockchain Association to advance evidence-led policy, strengthen trust and integrity in the digital economy, and help responsible innovation scale in the #UK.

On behalf of the #BBA, I was proud to showcase the work of our members across a truly multidisciplinary global ecosystem - spanning #bitcoin, #crypto and digital asset banking, blockchain start-ups, law firms, universities, NGOs, regtech, tokenisation and real estate, and healthcare innovation, among many others.

The Commonwealth represents around one-third of the world’s population – roughly 2.7 billion people.

🌏 From remittances and trade to cross-border payments and SME financing, the potential for stablecoin-driven transformation is enormous.

🚨 60% of Commonwealth citizens are under 30: A mobile-native, digital-first generation, that will not wait for legacy systems to catch up.
