the issue is handling 2 way audio - relays can't.

zapstream and others can point users to a live video feed and text comments are handled on the relay.

both nests and cornychat handle live events by displaying that there is an active room and giving users a link to join the voice chat, while displaying text chat from a relay.

thank you for explaining me this didn't know the technical issue about the audio. i guess the clients should find a way to display better those live rooms, and who is in, and have acces to them

Yeah, Hivetalk also does that. I'll have to look into what nostr:npub1yx6pjypd4r7qh2gysjhvjd9l2km6hnm4amdnjyjw3467fy05rf0qfp7kza adds to the tags, to suppress being listed on the live banner.

call them as you want to. I called them nests as this was the name given to them when nostrnests was created more than 2 years ago. nothing more than that. not trying to see which app has the best live audio spaces, just would like to see the public ones visible on any nostr client.

lol I know there are, nostrnests was before that and cornychat is a fork of it. what I think is needed is the possibility to see all the public live rooms on any client.
