This comment sums up how I feel about many a steam discussion comment from a random user tries to tell a gamedev how to.. umm. gamedev.

Please do tell me again Mr Sagan how I should optimise everything for you.

Finally continuing playing Thief (2014).

It's not terrible, but it definitely fails as a Thief game.

It has some horrendous design decisions.

I get it was unreal and for consoles , but constant area transitions are beyond painful if the platform doesn't require it.

You have to be quick, so why do I stare at a collectible for 30 seconds before I can close the safe? Oh yeah, forced discovery and evasion.

Similar with chests, closing or peeking takes priority over selecting the loot.
