Many years ago I saw the ads for #AvenueQ and ignored them, I thought it was a muppet musical for children. It was only after its original run had finished that I heard anything about what it was actually like.

After having to embarrass myself earlier by asking one of our robot overlords to help me drive ed(1) I have ordered a copy of @nprofile1q...'s #EdMastery book. Yes, the one he released as an #AprilFool. Have now read the #ebook version and ... it contains just what I needed and what CoPilot helped me with. I therefore recommend that you all buy it.

Back In The Day - early/mid 90s - I saw #SCO (or possibly #Novell) demo a version of #Unixware on some funky PC hardware where you could add and remove physical CPUs and memory on the fly. Does anyone remember what that hardware was?

And does anyone know when this feature will be added to #QEMU? It's just that my #FreeBSD testing VM has just started swapping, and I'd like to allocate more memory without having to stop it.

@nprofile1q... I suppose I could stick a #RaspberryPi in the chain. Attach the kb to the #RPi (maybe via a converter, maybe directly to the GPIO pins), then have that pretend to be a USB keyboard talking to the KVM. Because obviously chucking a 64-bit supercomputer that basically comes free with a box of cornflakes (I so love living in the future!) into the mix will fix everything!

So you know how the two modern empires got single digit country codes? +1 for the USA (which it now shares with its neighbours) and +7 for the USSR? I wonder, if international direct dialling had been invented a few decades earlier would the British Empire have +4, instead of +44 for the UK and random other numbers for the rest? I think I'm going to get in my #TimeMachine and make it so. It would make fixing a bug in Number::Phone, my #perl #telecoms code, much easier.
