Some ideas:

We could issue one a month with a fresh bio, or for a bit extra you could choose a bio from the database, for a lot extra you could sponsor a shirt and pick the username, bio, everything, and we'll place your sponsored shirt in the store.

Any better ideas?

(You also need to account for the surprisingly not insignificant percent of people who type their email address incorrectly and -that- email can get delivered to a real person... [and of course you then get a second signup within minutes from the same IP for a very similar account name])
