es werden seit Jahrzehnten täglich mehrere Menschen getötet.
nichts ändert sich.
wenn ich es bei Autofahrern anspreche höre ich Dinge wie "alles hat halt ein Risiko", " kann ja jeder selbst entscheiden ob er sich in den Strassenverkehr begibt", "es ist leider umvermeidbar" etc. - es ist eine unfassbar menschenverachtende Haltung.

dass der letzte Bundeskanzler ihrer Partei Klimaaktivisten quasi zu Terroristen erklärt hat?
dass ihre Partei in Hamburg pausenlos Bäume fällt und unbedingt gegen den schon lange erklärten Willen der Bevölkerung eine extrem klimaschädliche Olympiade veranstalten will?

ja Linux ist überall da wo es für Konzerne bequemer ist und sich Profit damit machen lässt.
Aber Android ist schon bald nicht mehr als OpenSource verfügbar, da bringt es in Hinblick auf gesellschaftliche Freiheit in IT Sachen überhaupt nichts dass der Linux Kernel drunter liegt

in some aspects iPhones really suck less than most other devices/mobile OS.
but sometimes there are things that should make the people responsible for this broken stuff ashamed.

@nprofile1q... have you tried to go to the debian user mailing list, describe the problem(s) more precisely and ask for help?
You could also try to run apt autoremove and fully purge all uninstalled packages to ensure nothing has been left behind, and find out if you did a lot of adjustments in configs in /etc and try to revert them to defaults that might work today so you dont need old adjustments anymore?
Besides that, Jessie means the hardware as well as the install is 10-15 years old, right?

on my way to get rid of US services i try to stop using iCloud for storing photos from my iPhone but it seems like nothing really works well.
proton drive took a week to upload the 120Gb of photos once, and now tells me every few days again that it’s „preparing to backup 19000 photos“, including long hangs at start, etc.
Nextcloud keeps just behaving strange.
it’s a long way to go.
