Had his server hacked, his pgp keys stolen along with 200+ BTC. FBI got involved leading to a subpoena for information about attendees at a Bitcoin developer event that took place in 2022 allegedly because Luke believed it was someone at the event.

I remember when the Bitcoin Glacier protocol was first published and thinking it was taking security a bit too far and gave up the idea of using it but recent events reminded me of it again.

I’m not suggesting people use this, it’s complex, doesn’t look like it’s been updated in a long time but it does contain lots of useful info which will hopefully help you secure your bitcoin and be more paranoid!

If the parent seed was generated with dice rolls and has a paraphrase, would the bip85 children seeds generated on device be at risk?

No I don’t think so, providing you used enough dice rolls. The child bio-85 seed is determined from the master seed, application/index.

Yeah seems a change was made in firmware version 4.0.0 - March 17, 2021 which changed the way RNG was generated and wallets generated before that should be fine, not sure I’d want to risk it and wait until the full report from coinkite comes out though
