I owe an apology to the Linux gods. It was all a hardware issue. This Geekom pos mini computer did not have the actual wifi antenna connected to the wireless card. In fact, they were routed and taped down in a path so that they couldn't possibly even reach the connection points. I had to pull up all the tape, reroute the wires, make the connection, and NOW I can see the network.
So it was shitty mini PC hardware, not OS at all.

I have to use Excel for work. And I have to say, whatever asshat came up with the idea of those stupid floaty boxes that hover over cells after you do something to give you "formatting" options - that guy should be forbidden from every working in any IT related field again. He shouldn't even be allowed to run a parking meter.

I didn't want to install the wrong Bazzite if I was just going to turn around and wipe it for a third time to install the correct Bazzite. I'm not sure if that makes sense.

I'm trying Bazzite right now - currently imagine a USB drive with it. I'll see if that will load and find the network. Maybe the Geekom hardware isn't SteamOS compatible (I don't know what drivers SteamOS has). 🤷♂️

Tried to install SteamOS on a Geekom mini PC I bought. Of course it doesn't work. Can't find the network.
This is why I hate all things Linux. It NEVER works the way it's supposed to. There are ALWAYS an infinite number of stupid fiddly bits I have to arse around with to make anything ever work.

I took the older kids to Italy two years ago, and then all the kids to Greece last year.
Now I'm broke. But, on the other hand, there are memories and experiences we enjoyed together that we'll be talking about for the rest of our lives.
I at least prefer this to galivanting around in my doddering old age. When all the kids finally leave, that's when I plan to finally sit around and read.
