I can't prove this but I don't think the reason people aren't going to the movie theater anymore is because of streaming. It's the longer lengths and more people with IBS.

I guess my family are the odd ducks. We see 1-3 movies at the theater a month depending what is out. Sometimes more if a lot is out or classic movies I want to see on a big screen are showing.

I opted for the 70mm film but on a regular screen too. It was worth it IMO. There's an IMAX at the same theater but digital only.

It's times like this where Mr Burn's sun shield on the Simpsons doesn't seem like a horrible idea.

Besides the length I didn't have any complaints. An old back injury makes sitting 3 hours straight uncomfortable. The original poem was pretty dang long too though or that's how I remember it from Mrs Stitchling's 8th grade English class.

The only negative reviews I've really seen are the lack of true 70mm IMAX theaters and not the movie itself. I saw it on 70mm non IMAX.

If we're talking about the reviews of the Elon Musks of the world. They can fuck right off though, I don't care about their opinions.

Well I thought "The Odyssey" was fantastic! The scenery and storm sequences were phenomenal. I'm not going to talk about the story, a lot of us probably read it in school and know it for the most part.

An added bonus was the nostalgia. This was real film with graininess and imperfections. The contrast and clarity incredible. I also booked tickets right by the projector booth, so we could hear it run at quiet moments. A friend's dad ran one when we were kids.

My routine for my tool steel is a mineral oil rag once a week. My 3v fixed blade and 15v both have a nice iron patina going.

If you haven't tried out Magnacut it's worth a go. It basically covers everything well. One of the "worth the hype" steels of you get a good heat treatment on it.

We typically run around 74 all day but when it gets really hot 73 at night. We're both people who can't sleep when hot. There's a ceiling fan and pedestal fan too. The older I get the worse the night heat is.
