Hey Hey! Is "Hear My Roar" a band or a song? We did not pre-populate the EPOCH app with everything in the index. 90% of the songs in the app today are musicians we have had direct contact with, over the last 2.5 years. We also added a few fan favorites where we also know the artist is comfortable with V4V. In EPOCH app we have a gate vs. a wall, that allows each artist to choose syndication to open platforms. If you are an artist already in the open system you can create an epoch account and quickly import your music from RSS/Podcast Index. For artists that do not want to syndicate out we will host their music and it is protected in app. Everything is built around choice.

There's a lot of basic functionality missing that users expect from social media. Handling of media is a huge one. 16 MB avatars and master quality video are handled gracefully by centralized platform...

This is the HD video master file that I would distribute to distrokid or any distributed for my music or videos - for less than $20 a year. Same file I distributed that will come out on traditional distribution on 1/5

Hey @ava what do you mean? It is mastered and released. Iโve had some comments that the sound is going in/out and that seems to maybe be a @nostr.build Issue - any input #nostrdevs?

Exposure is not enough. Conferences and meet ups should be negotiating directly with artists. New platforms should not be considered defacto middlemen making choices for or on behalf of artists.
If we want 7 million artists to bring their energy, talent, and vision into the Bitcoin ecosystem, letโs greet them with enthusiasm. Letโs show them that Bitcoin is the great equalizer, where artists are valued, not exploited.
This is how we create a cultural renaissance. This is how we prove that Bitcoin is for everyone. The future is waiting. Will we rise to meet it?
