"If you agreed with what was said in the Senedd this week, I genuinely want you to read this.

Joe Martin MS, from Reform UK Wales, said foreign nationals living in social housing should have three months to find somewhere to rent privately. If they can’t, they should be deported.

Three months. And then deportation.

Before anyone says, “Oh, it’s just one politician saying something stupid. Why are you making such a big deal out of it?”, have a look at the reaction on Facebook.

Around 14,600 reactions, including 13,000 Likes and 927 Loves. Another 1,400 shares and 1,500 comments. Look at how many people are engaging positively with this message.

This isn’t just about one politician standing up in the Senedd and saying something outrageous. It’s about how many people are apparently happy to applaud this kind of rhetoric. And that is what worries me."

"Although 81% of this group identified as Christian, just 13% attended church weekly, only slightly above the 11% average across the population surveyed. Less than a third (31%) prayed weekly, while 47% expressed an interest in the Bible.

The group was strongly hostile to immigration and Islam. Just 19% agreed that Christian values required welcoming and supporting asylum seekers, while 30% supported the equal treatment of religions in public life."

"I can find nothing of any consequence that Andy Burnham is planning to do between now and the summer of 2029, if that is when the election in question takes place.

He promised electoral reform, but not before the next election.

He promised that there would be legislation on water, but there was no promise of action as yet.

He talked about changing our relationship with the EU, but not yet.

He said he would amend the triple lock on pensions, but only after an election."
